Youth Access

I was thinking guys... maybe we shouldn't let the youth view the blog. There is some value in letting them see the process, but I think it might take away from the purpose of the blog. The goal is for us to work on these messages and be critical and experimental and throw stuff out there. If we know the kids are reading this, it actually limits how candid we'll be.

What do you all think?

  1. I agree with BK. I feel it's better kept within the staff. I think it's okay for the kids to know what we are talking about, but not to the point where they see the details and formation of it. I feel like it will take away from message if they see it come together.

  2. On second thought I think it could go either way. I like the idea of the kids gettitng a sneak peak of the message. It makes it kind of cool...like a little preview or taste of what's going to happen on Friday.

  3. i guess there's pros and cons to both sides. maybe we should just keep it w/in staff at first. we can always extend it out later if we want to.

by the way, this is eugene.

  4. yeah, I could go either way. I think let's keep it within the staff first and try this out

To hashi's message though: I think you'll need to make your own and we can link it.

You could just do posts like "Worship: Title" as a heading or something

  5. I agree with Brandon, because it would be more of a freeflowing conversation if the kids didn't have access.

  6. Okay... it's settled then. We'll keep it staff-only, at least for now. If we want some kind of forum to give the kids access to messages/info, etc., we can explore that. But the purpose of this blog will be our preparation.
